I just wanted to share one quick thing you can do today — right now! — for your weekly BTB time.
Today’s assignment: get a Gravatar.
Most WordPress blogs are Gravatar-enabled. That’s why comments show up with pictures. Do you have one? If you don’t, it means you have a gray square for a face.
So what? Why does it matter? Maybe you like your gray square. But…consider this.
Leaving good comments helps people remember you and your blog. But you know what helps even more? Being able to put a face with a name. A lot of us have similar blog titles or first names, so we can distinguish ourselves even further by including our mug shots!
Here’s how to do it:
- Go to Gravatar.
- Enter the e-mail address you use when you leave comments.
- Confirm the link in the e-mail they send you.
- Upload a cute pic of your cute self. (Don’t want to? Then upload a pic of your blog’s logo at the very least.)
- Rate it “G” so it shows up on all sites.
Andddd….that’s it!
Now everyone can see your pretty face! So easy!!

Can you use that on a blogger blog?
This brings up a great question I keep meaning to ask you ladies–
Should my blog have a logo? I kind of feel like it should, but I don’t know where I’d put it on my current blog layout (which I like) and I have NO IDEA what would be a good logo.
Advice?
